I agree with all the other reviews, this item is AEG's attempt to more or less copy the mighty JVC RV-NB series Boomboxes (which are incredible and much sought after).... The sound quality is extremely poor in comparison. Yes, it may be cheap, but believe you me it's nowhere near the quality sound of the JVC's...... My opinion - Save your pennies for a JVC....

HAHAHAAHA 400 watts where it is more like 20 if your lucky so over rated by far .... i order this as it sounded great for the money but once i got it it was a big let down so packing it back to them and spending my money on a jvc or sony one which you can hear clear ........

Where do i start. I have a JVC BOOMBLASTER and it kicks ==++++
I purchased the AEG lookalike on its written spec and i,m no techy
but sounded good and looked good for price. A couple of weeks later my son opened this gift and we set it up. I was gob smacked and felt totally and utterly ripped off, i still cant believe it.The quality of sound for the size of the unit is POOR at the most and i am being really polite. It is not much louder than a portable player with satelite speakers (the small ones). On the plus side the build quality for price scores a 4/10... The item will not be accepted as a return because 10 working days have expired, a kick in the arse for planning and buying early. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT I HAVE this item is overpriced and unfit for purpose. I could spend days jumping through hoops with my credit card company and consumer rights and description act but my life is busy enough,,i wonder how much they rely on that. Happy Cristmas....

For the price of this item i am left dissapointed! The so called 400 watt speakers are a joke. Very poor sound quality even with the Bass button pushed. Turn the volume up to loud and the sound is muffled! for the price this is a very poor product indeed. Spend your money else where! Shame on you AEG!
