| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description This a brand new Global TV link suitable for extended remote control operation of Sky Digi boxes. This is the Sky approved type of magic eye.
This unit allows the remote control of a Sky Digi Box, Sky Plus Box or Sky HD Box from another room in your home.
This unit works due to the clever TV Link feature fitted to all Sky digi boxes. At the rear of the receiver you will find an RFOUT2 connection. If you connect a long male to female coaxial cable to this connection and feed it to another room then you can you can connect the TV Link unit at the remote end of the cable. The TV Link connects in between the aerial plug on the cable and the aerial socket of your TV. You can then use the Sky remote you already have or an additional handset to change channels and fully operate the Sky box. This avoids you having to continually go through to the room where the Sky box is located to change channels or select playback on a Sky Plus box for example.
How does this work?............... The TV Link unit effectively operates as an extended infra red receiver that is already fitted to the front of your digi box. The TV link sends the infra red commands form your Sky remote control back up the coaxial cable. These commands are received and actioned by the digi box. In order for the TV Link to operate it requires power and this is cleverly fed down the coaxial cable from the digi box internal power supply.

just plug it in July 28, 2010 lorraine when i replaced my old sky receiver with a new sky+HD the `old eye' was not compatible. I bought this because reviews stated it was easy to install. How right they were - I just plugged it it - and it worked!!!!
Excellent Service July 16, 2010 BryceM4 Was worried about buying online but was absolutely delighted with the service from BuyMe even although it was such a small value item. Ordered, received and additional instructions emailed to me within 24 hours. Can't get much better!
No fault of BuyMe but the tvLink stopped working so I emailed Rob about it. I actually received a replacement the next morning before I'd even checked my emails to see if I'd had a response. I've had no problems at all with the replacement unit.
Good product. Magnificent service from BuyMe.
Brilliant July 13, 2010 Ricky V Fantastic, does exactly what it says it does, i can change the channel on my skybox with out actually being in the room
Would have cost double the amount in Argos! Quick delivery.
sky magic eye July 9, 2010 R. N. Sheppard (south lincolnshire) Excellant magic eye to enable you to use the sky remote control on any other tv in your house which is linked by co axial cable to your sky box.
TV Link July 9, 2010 chick52 I had a lot of trouble, like some other people, getting the tv link to connect to my TV upstairs. It all boiled down to the aerial cable. It was shorting out somewhere. I tried different connectors as suggested, I tried putting it through the DVD, as suggested. I emailed the company where I bought it in the end and the gentleman suggested checking the aerial connection, thats when I guessed it could be the cable. I have now changed it and the tv link is working perfectly.
