 Sound problem same as others. July 22, 2010

I bought 2 of these TV's. First one went silent after being switched on for the second time. The second went dead when checking to see if it was the digital signal or not. Obviously a bad batch. My 2 are only 200 apart with the serial numbers. I won't be getting replacements, they have let Toshiba's name down.

I agree with AJ , it did do exactly everything i wanted it to but then after a couple of weeks the sound disappeared - halfway through andy murrays wimbledon semi final!
it was easy to send back to amazon but its definitely a flawed design so i'll have to find a different replacement

I have now had this TV for six months and I would highly recommend it. The set up was easy and the picture quality on the digital channels is excellent. On analogue the picture quality is fine but these don't tend to get used very much. The TV is also used for a Wii and is fine for this purpose. The DVD works fine and again the picture quality is good.
The only slight downside is that the volume for this TV does not go very high, so if you want to fill a large room with sound this may not be for you, however the sound clarity is reasonable.
This is a good quality product at a reasonable price

Don't buy this TV! Like many other reviewers, I lost the sound completely after 6 weeks. I am amazed that it is still being offered for sale.
I have returned mine to Amazon and await a refund.

I had 4 t/vs no sound on all of them.Toshiba acknowledged it was a (known fault)!They were not in the original packing i suspect because they had already been returned due to the fault.Shame on you amazon
for sending them.I had very unhappy hotel guests and a £60 bill from an aeriel firm to check it all out.
