OK... but July 14, 2010 petewakey Purchased this recently in time for World Cup viewing, to use in bedroom. Have only standard reception there so can't comment on HD. Picture is pretty good, but when viewed from a different elevation, ie from above or below, picture is much paler. I set the picture sitting on my bed and got a decent picture, but if I stand up the picture is much paler and needs adjustment again. I have been told that this is not uncommon with many TV's . Don't know if this is the case. It certainly does not happen with our main tele, a Panasonic. As I tend to watch the TV from one position only, it does not cause me too much problem so I have chosen to live with it, but I would not chose it again for this reason.
Great TV/DVD Combo July 9, 2010 djh84 I bought this for my daughters birthday, to replace the goodmans tv she had in her bedroom. It arived in good time, was easy to set up, about 10 minutes and has a great picture. The sound quality is very good and the DVD function is easy to use. I would highly recommend this TV for use in a smaller room.

Nice, Classy LCD TV by the best makers, Samsung June 7, 2010 AngD (Newcastle, England) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
We always wanted to have a Samsung Plasma/LCD TV as Samsung are very trustworthy and are a big company. We would rate them 1st place out of all the makes. With Sony being second, and Panasonic and LG being joint third. It is a great TV with the addition of an in-built DVD player which saves time and space. The in-build Digital/Freeview is great as now the two children can watch their favourite TV programmes without fighting. In addition, it has the HDMI Sockets (Yellow, White and Red holes) so the Playstation can be connected. It also has scart socket in case of wanting a video player. But, DVD's are phasing out video players so we don't need to use the scart socket as there is already a DVD player there, unlike on most tvs. The colour is brilliant and vibrant. And the sound is one of the best I've come across. It is a perfect fit for the small playroom we have put it in and I would also recommend it for a bedroom.
